Foodies and design lovers alike will swoon for Bartlett House in Ghent, NY. The restaurant and bakery is housed in an historic brick building that began life as a private home, and then became a hotel and public house with a rowdy reputation. Thais Glazman, daughter of owners Alina Roytberg and Lev Glazman (they founded Fresh Cosmetics), says, "My father always wanted a bakery so we started making artisanal pastries and breads, and then we expanded to a restaurant." The cheerful space is filled with a mix of Parisian antiques and midcentury modern furnishings that give it a homey—and stylish—ambiance. Bartlett House features artisanal baked goods, premium coffee, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus filled with locally-sourced ingredients.
