'Georgia O'Keeffe: Living Modern' is on View at the Brooklyn Museum

An exhibition on renowned artist Georgia O'Keefe is on view in the Brooklyn Museum's Morris A. and Meyer Schapiro Wing through July 23, 2017.

Georgia O'Keefe: Living Modern is on view in the the Brooklyn Museum's Morris A. and Meyer Schapiro Wing (4th Fl.) through July 23, 2017. The exhibition offers a new look at the modernist artist and her avant-garde lifestyle. Her carefully crafted public persona is examined, especially through her choice of outfits and how she allowed her image to be portrayed through the lens of a camera. It is an eye-opening exhibition which affirms O'Keefe's determination to be in charge of how she was presented to the world. Select paintings, items of clothing, and photographs by other renowned artists and photographers round out a new and interesting way to understand Georgia O'Keefe.
