John Lockwood Kipling: Arts & Crafts in the Punjab and London at the Bard Graduate Center, explores the life and work of John Lockwood Kipling: artist, curator, and teacher. This exhibit brings together scholars from Great Britain, India, Pakistan, and the United States, to explore Kipling's promotion of the arts and crafts of India through his work at art schools in Mumbai and Lahore, his role as curator of the Lahore Museum, as well as his influence on his son, poet and writer Rudyard Kipling. It includes over 250 paintings, drawings, metalwork, furniture, illustrated books, and architectural ornaments. The exhibit will be on view through January 7th, 2018.
