Thomas Jayne, Design Co-Chair for the 2018 Winter Antiques Show opening January 19, will host a lecture on his new book: Classical Principles for Modern Design, Lessons from Edith Wharton and Ogden Codman's The Decoration of Houses. The talk, held on Sunday, January 21st at 4:00 p.m. in the Board of Officers Room at the Park Avenue Armory, will focus on the subject of his book—the response/reinvention of Edith and Ogden's classic 1897 interior design manual. The manual, The Decoration of Houses, was illustrated with some of Thomas' interior work, including his English country homes, New York pied-à-terres, and various other gems the designer welded his deft hand at. A book signing will follow the lecture.
The Park Avenue Armory is located at Park Avenue and 67th Street.
