The New Museum is exhibiting the first major New York museum survey of Raymond Pettibon's work. The truly mind-blowing work of the Arizona-born artist covers three floors and chronicles his love affair with history, mythology, politics, and the culture of America. His proclivity towards incorporating text into his images reflects a poetic wit and an artful and critical nature all at once. Pettibon has been producing thousands of drawings and installations since the late 1960s, and they showcase the country's shift in values over time. It is an incredibly interesting and provocative exhibition that highlights the artist's prolific and insightful character.

The New Museum is located at 235 Bowery, NYC 10002. Raymond Pettibon: A Pen of All Work will be on view through April 9, 2017.
