Real Milk Paint Company recently turned up on our radar because of their eco-friendly products. They offer over 55 environmentally friendly, non-toxic paint options in brilliant colors. While no one would ever accuse us of loving instructions, these mix-your-own paints are applicable to all skill sets. The paint comes in powder form. You then simply combine one scoop of paint with an equal amount of water in the can with the mixing marble, snap on the lid, shake it well for a few minutes, and voila: Your paint is ready to use! Check out the results—artist Sebastian Vallejo took an unconventional approach and incorporated Real Milk Paint Company's Fresh Lemon and Caribbean Blue paint colors onto one his frames. Needless to say, we are big fans! As for the artist? It sounds like he might be too: "I love being able to work directly with the pigment, it gives me a more tactile sense of satisfaction. Also, the colors don't lose their brilliance after application, which is a common issue I have with water-based paints. They happen to be easy to preserve and store as well—a fact most artists will advocate as a huge plus," says Vallejo.
