Katie Ridder’s extraordinary dexterity with color and her playful approach to mixing antiques and modern pieces have all established her as a leading figure in the world of interior design. Clients from Switzerland to Virginia have commissioned her to design everything from Japanese pavilions to Park Avenue apartments. Most recently, Ridder designed a modern house in coastal Maine, a duplex on the Upper East Side, and ground-up construction projects in Westchester, and Bridgehampton. Ridder also has a wallpaper and fabric line, represented at Holland & Sherry. In addition, she recently released her second book, A House in the Country, co-authored with her husband, architect Peter Pennoyer, that chronicles their collaboration on the family home in Millbrook, NY.
