In 2017, Workshop/APD celebrated 18 years as a thriving design practice. Since founding the firm, Andrew Kotchen and Matthew Berman have built an enviable roster of work that runs the gamut from sleek urban lofts and luxurious family homes, to high-end multi-family developments and attention-grabbing restaurants. Their current roster includes apartment renovations on the Upper West and East Side, townhouses in the West Village, and a new hotel in Chicago. Outside of New York City, projects include summer homes in Nantucket and the Bahamas, penthouses in South Beach, multiple restaurants, and a 120,000-square-foot apartment building in Pittsburgh. The firm announced its first furniture line in May, Workshop/APD by Desiron.
